The fourth day in Aachen, three of the four horses jumping in the Rolex Best of Champions came from the Holsteiner breed. Originally, jumping with riders changing horses was publicized but due to poor weather conditions the tournament management decided to shorten the format and rule out the changing of horses.
Instead the riders rode their own horses in two rounds,with the total faults and time taken in the second round determining their ranking.
Rodrigo Pessoa on the Holsteiner mare,Cantate Z by Cantus accomplished the best overall task with no faults in a time of 45.64.Meredith Michaels Beerbaum on the Holsteiner mare,Sansierra by Stauffenburg also rode two clear rounds(51.51).Marco Kutscher with the Carthago son,Cash took 3rd place with four faults(46.94) and the 4th place went to Dermott Lennon on the French stallion,Exploit du Roulard (12/63.46).
